The Boston Celtics are about to have a gap year in the 2025-26 NBA regular season. Or at least that is the point of view of the hosts of the CLNS Media “The Big Three NBA” podcast, A. Sherrod Blakely, Gary Washburn, and Kwani Lunis, on a recent episode of their show.
The Celtics, for their part, started off the 2025 offseason by dealing away players like vet guard Jrue Holiday and Latvian big man Kristaps Porzingis while letting other important players like backup center Luke Kornet walk in free agency. Then Boston signed interesting but still developing prospects like Luka Garza and Josh Minott to take their place while taking a trio of upside swing players in the 2025 NBA Draft in Max Shulga, Amari Williams, and Hugo Gonzalez. What kind of a season can we expect this version of the Celtics to have?
