As one of the milestones of how close we are to the regular season, NBA 2K26 is set to release on Sept. 5. The annual video game gives fans a chance to get warmed up for the new year with updated rosters and new gameplay.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will enter the season as the reigning NBA champions. They had one of the greatest seasons ever with a historic 68-14 record and a Larry O’Brien trophy. They’ll run it back with mostly the same roster, as they hope to be a rare repeat winner.
