The Brooklyn Nets came into the 2025 NBA offseason looking to make moves to the roster in anticipation of the 2025-26 season that will hopefully go according to the organization’s plan. Brooklyn added five rookies in the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft while also using their cap space to bring in players like forward Michael Porter Jr. along with draft compensation.
The Nets haven’t made many moves in terms of letting go from the roster outside of Maxwell Lewis, but Brooklyn made an interesting transaction on Friday when they waived forward Tosan Evbuomwan. The news, reported by HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, showed that the Nets have taken notice of the impending roster crunch and are trying to get ahead of it before training camp in September.
Brooklyn still has some moves pending as they figure out how they want to spend the remaining cap space they have along with deciding their next course of action with restricted free-agent guard Cam Thomas. Without further ado, here is where the Nets roster, per Spotrac, stands following Friday’s news of the team waiving Evbuomwan after playing 28 games for the team last season:
