It’s time for Philadelphia 76ers rookie VJ Edgecombe to make his rounds around the city. The No. 3 overall pick has been putting in work out at UCLA competing in the Rico Hines Runs, but he will now take his talent to the mound to make an appearance in front of Philadelphia fans.
As the Phillies get set to take on the Atlanta Braves on Friday night, Edgecombe will take the mound and throw out the first pitch. The electric guard is sporting the team’s blue City Connects jersey and his No. 77 Sixers uniform number.

Sixers star Tyrese Maxey posted his reaction to Edgecombe at the Phillies game on his Instagram and teased the rookie about his pitching ability.
Maxey and Edgecombe will be a part of Philadelphia’s guard rotation in the coming season so the Sixers will hope that the two of them can take this off-court chemistry to the gym and be a dynamic guard duo for coach Nick Nurse.
