Pat Kelsey and the members of Louisville basketball staff have done their homework on the recruiting trail.
Now, it’s time for them to make some sales.
The Cardinals, as of Thursday, reportedly had three official visits lined up — one set for Labor Day weekend — with players they’re targeting in the Class of 2026. With the start of college basketball’s early signing period (Nov. 12) less than three months away, they likely have more in the works behind the scenes.
The Courier Journal is keeping tabs on everyone who is stopping by campus this fall. Here are the names to know:
Colben Landrew is a 6-foot-6 forward who ranks 61st overall (four stars) in the 2026 cycle on the 247Sports Composite. The Alabama native will reportedly make an official visit to Louisville on Aug. 29.
The Cards made Landrew’s top 10 after offering him a scholarship in mid-July, during his stock-rising summer on Adidas’ 3SSB circuit — he averaged 15.1 points on 56% shooting (34.4% from 3) with 5.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
Landrew has reportedly visited Purdue and will also stop by Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State and Texas A&M. UConn, Ole Miss and Texas round out his 10 finalists.
Josh Irving is a 6-10 center who ranks 75th overall (four stars) in the 2026 cycle on the 247Sports Composite. The California native will reportedly make an official visit to Louisville that will run Sept. 19-21.
The Cards offered Irving in July and are one of seven programs he plans to visit in the coming months. The others are reportedly Kansas, Kentucky, San Diego State, SMU, Southern California and Texas A&M.
Irving averaged 8.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks on Puma’s PRO16 circuit this summer, according to 247Sports scouting director Adam Finkelstein, who went on to say the prospect “has a long runway in front of him to keep evolving.” Per Synergy, Irving was one of the circuit’s most prolific dunkers during the 2025 season with 16 in 14 games.
Anthony Felesi is a 6-5 forward who ranks 47th overall (four stars) in the 2026 cycle on the 247Sports Composite. The Utah native will reportedly make an official visit to Louisville on Oct. 25.
Felesi has been on the Cards’ radar since last September. The story goes Kelsey offered him while visiting his high school, Utah Prep, to watch 2025 point guard target JJ Mandaquit work out. This summer, the forward averaged 13.6 points on 53.8% shooting (25% from 3) with 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks per game on the EYBL circuit.
In addition to U of L, Felesi reportedly has official visits scheduled to Pittsburgh, San Diego State, Southern California and UCLA.
