As the Philadelphia 76ers continue to push ahead to the 2025-26 season, they are looking to get final work done in the gym in an effort to fully prepare for the new season. The Sixers will be looking to move on from a miserable 24-58 season in which injuries decimated the roster and ruined any chance they had at contending for a title.
Tyrese Maxey has been in the gym all summer in an effort to take his game to another level in order to lift the Sixers back into contention. He took a huge step forward in 2024-25 as a leader and will look to do the same in the coming season.
Kelly Oubre Jr. is back for his third season in Philadelphia and he joined Maxey–as well as Sacramento Kings star Zach LaVine–in the gym to get some 1-on-1 action in on the floor.
If the Sixers are going to continue to get a motivated Maxey and Oubre, then they should be in good shape. Those two–plus the expected health of Joel Embiid and Paul George–should get the Sixers back on track in terms of contention in the East.
