Robert Horry is one of the most accomplished NBA role players of all time with seven titles to his name.
Robert Horry’s most notable stints were with the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, and the San Antonio Spurs.
He played with a plethora of talented stars, including Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan. Evidently, Horry knows a thing or two about NBA greats.

During Horry’s five-year tenure with the Spurs, he shared the court with an all-time great point guard in Tony Parker.
In 17 seasons with the Spurs, Parker helped the team win four NBA Championships. He also earned six NBA All-Star selections during his accomplished career.
Despite that, when Horry was asked to ‘Start, Bench, and Cut’ between Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, and Parker, the 7x NBA champ decided to cut his former Spurs teammate.
“Start, Steph. Kyrie off the bench, and Tony, bye, bye. Even though I love Tony to death, but Kyrie? Better player. Steph? Better player.
“So, it ain’t no disrespect to Tony. It’s just the truth, you know me. I keep it basic, keep it real,” Horry said on the Big Shot Bob podcast.
While Horry tried to soften the blow, there’s no telling how Parker will take his former teammate picking two point guards above him.
Tony Parker is aiming for an NBA comeback
Parker enjoyed an 18-year stint in the NBA, averaging 15.5 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023 as a player.
Despite a nearly two-decade-long stay in the NBA, the French star is eyeing a comeback to the biggest basketball league in the world.
This time around, Parker is reportedly eyeing an NBA head coaching job. Considering he spent 17 seasons under the legendary Gregg Popovich as a point guard, Parker could become an excellent head coach.
As of now, he’s serving as the president and manager of the ASVEL Basket team in France.
