The Sacramento Kings had an interesting year.
They traded De’Aaron Fox, their star player and arguably the face of the franchise, to the San Antonio Spurs.
In return, the Kings received Zach LaVine as part of a three-way trade with the Chicago Bulls, pairing him with former Bulls teammate DeMar DeRozan. However, the reunion could be short-lived, as the Kings could entertain a trade for DeRozan this summer.

Kings could trade DeMar DeRozan for this NBA Champion
It will be tough for other teams to gauge how DeRozan would fit into their offense. He doesn’t bring much defense, and, while a scorer, he doesn’t shoot the 3-pointer well enough to be considered a “Three and D” player.

However, the Kings could be in the market for one of those players, and DeRozan could be the best option to trade away to do so.
In a hypothetical trade by ABC10’s Matt George in Sacramento, DeRozan could be on the move to the Orlando Magic.
In return, the Kings would receive Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Cory Joseph.
Caldwell-Pope is the definition of a “Three and D” wing player, while Joseph would add a solid ball-handler to a team without a traditional point guard.
While Joseph averaged just 3.5 points per game, he did have some moments in the Magic’s playoff series against the Boston Celtics.

The Magic could welcome this trade, as they struggled to find consistent scoring outside of their stars Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner.
With a new general manager and head coach in place, the Kings’ roster could look very different next season.
