DENVER (KDVR) — It’s not the NBA season just yet, but for those fiending to see some form of Denver Nuggets basketball, two of the team’s centers are tearing it up at FIBA EuroBasket 2025.
While one is a very familiar face, the strong play of a new face will help build plenty of excitement for fans ahead of the new season.

The first is beloved by Nuggets fans and feared by opposing players and fans alike — that’s right, it’s Nikola Jokić, doing his Jokić thing like no one else in the world can do.
The all-time great has been tossing the slickest dimes and singing Pitbull while leading Serbia to an undefeated 4-0 record so far, and has made it look as easy as he usually does.
The EuroBasket Instagram page posted a video of Jokić receiving a loose pass near halfcourt, seemingly with no threat to lead to a bucket, but before the opposing team could settle in on defense, he had already whipped a no-look pass from halfcourt to his teammate under the basket for an easy two points.

EuroBasket included the caption “Thank you for playing basketball, Nikola Jokić” in the post.
On EuroBasket’s Facebook page, Jokić was at it again, going up for what people thought would be a run-of-the-mill hook shot, before an extra flick of the wrist launched a no-look, hook pass to a teammate wide open for three.
Serbia is tied atop Group A with a perfect 4-0 record with one game left to play before the Round of 16.
Jokić has been cruising to a line of 19.8 points, 4.5 assists and 9.3 rebounds, with a standout 39-point performance against Latvia in the team’s third game.
Serbia remains the favorite to take home first place.

The other Nugget playing at EuroBasket hasn’t suited up for the team yet, but was part of an exciting offseason that many fans feel revamped the franchise for a championship run.\
Jonas Valančiūnas helped Lithuania lock down a Round of 16 berth with his steady presence on the court. They handed Finland, featuring NBA All-Star Lauri Markkanen, their first loss of the tournament.

Valančiūnas has put up 14.8 points, 1 assist and 5.8 rebounds per game, with only one game remaining until the knockout stages of the tournament. Lithuania currently sits tied for second in Group B.

A proven NBA center, Valančiūnas will look to make his mark in Denver, and could become an integral part of a team that has championships on its mind.
