Tyrese Haliburton is back in the gym, putting up shots.

The Indiana Pacers posted video of the All-NBA guard shooting free throws. He didn’t move his right leg, which is understandable, considering he is recovering from a torn Achilles tendon suffered in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

The Pacers have said Haliburton will not play in the 2025-26 season, but progress is nice to see. Haliburton hit all three free throws in the video.

When did Tyrese Haliburton get injured?

In the first quarter of Game 7 of the NBA Finals on June 22, 2025, Haliburton went down with a torn Achilles tendon. He had been dealing with calf issues entering the game, but he has said several times he didn’t consider sitting out the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who won the game and the championship.

How long is the recovery for a torn Achilles tendon?

Recovery time for full movement and strength is frequently 8-10 months. Haliburton had surgery the day after suffering the injury.
