As the calendar flips to September, the G League has dropped its 2025-26 regular season schedule. The OKC Blue learned when and where they’ll face their opponents during the five-month campaign. The developmental program will help players play live reps in low-leverage spots.
The G League season will open on Friday, Nov. 7. All 31 NBA G League teams will play at least 50 games. This includes a 14-game Tip-Off Tournament followed by a 36-game regular season. The 2025 Winter Showcase will take place from Dec. 19-22.
After the Tip-Off Tournament, G League teams will restart their regular-season record. At the end of the second half of the season, the top eight teams from each conference will advance to the 2026 G League playoffs.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have been one of the better teams to squeeze every drop of juice out of their G League affiliate. The Blue share Paycom Center with the NBA champion as both teams play their home games there. That makes assignments and recalls a seamless transition.
The Blue will have a new head coach in Daniel Dixon for this upcoming season. He’s spent the last two seasons as a Thunder assistant. He takes over for Kam Woods, who spent three seasons as the G League coach. He will return to the Thunder coaching staff as an assistant.
The Blue will play their season opener at the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Friday, Nov. 7. They will face the Iowa Wolves on the road in their season finale on Saturday, Mar. 28. The Blue’s entire 2025-26 regular season schedule can be seen below:
