Dante Exum is officially back with the Dallas Mavericks. The organization announced the 30-year-old guard’s return to the team on Tuesday.
Exum had agreed to a new deal with Dallas two months ago, but a roster move was required to make space for him.
After efforts to trade Olivier-Maxence Prosper did not amount to anything this offseason, Dallas waived the forward via a stretch provision on Friday.
Exum missed most of the 2024-25 season with a right wrist injury and a left hand fracture. In 20 games that included 13 starts, Exum averaged 8.7 points, 2.8 assists and 1.7 rebounds last season.
