The Brooklyn Nets enter the 2025-26 season with a different look following a busy offseason period filled with plenty of roster turnover via various trades and signings.

The front office finally moved Cam Johnson after sending the seventh-year forward to the Denver Nuggets for Michael Porter Jr. and a first-round pick. The team acquired Haywood Highsmith and Terance Mann and re-signed Day’Ron Sharpe and Ziaire Williams.

The Nets also drafted Egor Dёmin (eighth pick), Nolan Traoré (19th), Drake Powell (22nd), Ben Saraf (26th) and Danny Wolf (27th), becoming the first team to select five players in the first round. Their selections indicate the Nets are committed to rebuilding, in part, through the draft.

Brooklyn currently has 17 players on its roster for the upcoming season, excluding pending free agent Cam Thomas. The team will still need to make additional moves before the start of training camp and settle its negotiations with Thomas, which appear to be at a stalemate.

With the team opening training camp on Sept. 24, Rookie Wire examined the Nets’ depth chart and offered an early projection of the starters and backups entering the season.

Note: The Nets have to trim the roster to no more than 15 contracts by opening night
