Philadelphia 76ers rookie VJ Edgecombe was among those in attendance on Thursday to watch the Philadelphia Eagles defeat the Dallas Cowboys 24-20 at Lincoln Financial Field.

Edgecombe posted a photo on Instagram of the game, which saw the Eagles hold on to win on the night in which they unveiled their 2024 championship banner. He had the opportunity to watch from the sideline in the on-field spectator area.

The offseason period is a tremendous opportunity for incoming rookies to get to know their new markets and communities. Edgecombe recently threw out the first pitch for the Phillies and also attended a golf charity event for teammate Tyrese Maxey.

Edgecombe was the Big 12 Freshman of the Year at Baylor, averaging 15 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.1 steals on 34% shooting from 3-point range. He finished in double figures 27 times, including a season-high 30 points on Jan. 22 in a win over Kansas State.

The third pick debuted with the Sixers in the NBA Summer League, averaging 21.5 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and 1.5 blocks on 42.5% shooting from the field. He was limited to two appearances due to a left thumb sprain.

Edgecombe has had a busy offseason, both on and off the court, since joining the team. He has hit the court with several teammates and appears to be ready for his upcoming rookie campaign.
