An exhibit chronicling the career of Baltimore-raised 10-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony is coming to the central Enoch Pratt Free Library this October.

The “House of Melo” exhibit opens Oct. 25 in the art-deco building and will feature artifacts representing Anthony’s basketball career, philanthropy and impact on popular culture. The exhibit was announced Thursday as Anthony was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame this past weekend. The induction ceremony will be held on Sept. 6 in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The exhibit is meant to inspire visitors to pursue their goals, both business and personal, and dreams by revisiting Anthony’s career.

“This isn’t just an exhibit—this is my story,” Anthony said in a news release. “I want people to feel inspired to dream big and know it’s possible. You can’t tell that story without Baltimore. This city raised me, challenged me and gave me the drive to grow. Now, I hope my journey can be a blueprint for others chasing theirs.”

Mayor Brandon Scott said Anthony embodies the spirit of what makes Baltimore “the best city in America.”

“No matter what higher heights he reaches, he always stays grounded in his values and committed to supporting the next generation—especially young people following his footsteps in Baltimore,” Scott said. “We are so proud to celebrate his career and his legacy through this exhibition.”
