The Memphis Grizzlies put together a successful season last year that saw them finish eighth in the Western Conference standings with a 48-34 record, though they were unable to make it past the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the playoffs.
Now the Grizzlies will enter 2025-26 season looking to improve on last season by challenging for one of the top spots in the West with their star duo of Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. leading the way.

Despite this, Memphis did have some key departures this offseason as they traded Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic while Luke Kennard left in free agency as he signed with the Atlanta hawks.
Memphis did make some additions to their roster this offseason as they landed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope from Orlando in the Bane trade and they also signed Ty Jerome in free agency.

With these moves, the Grizzlies hope to keep pace in the loaded West as they try to make a run at a championship this season.

Grizzlies Sign Olivier-Maxence Prosper
On Thursday, the Grizzlies made another move in free agency as they signed a former first-round pick from the Dallas Mavericks.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Grizzlies have signed Olivier-Maxence Prosper to a two-way contract.
Of course, the Mavericks made the shocking decision to release Prosper last week despite his continued growth, though it is likely that he would not have seen much playing time this season in Dallas due to their abundance of frontcourt depth.

Prosper was the 24th pick in the 2023 draft by the Sacramento Kings who then traded him to the Mavericks later in the 2023 offseason alongside Richaun Holmes.

Last season, the 23-year-old forward averaged 3.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game while shooting 40.2% from the field and 23.5% from three.
Prosper has continued to develop every season of his NBA career and he will now look to continue his growth in Memphis, though he may not see a ton of time at the NBA level this season due to him being on a two-way deal.

Despite this, the Grizzlies will likely allow the young forward to get some time at the NBA level this season and if he continues to show promise, they may eventually sign him to a standard contract where he could become a key piece off their bench.
