Following an eventful offseason, the Boston Celtics enter the 2025-26 season with tempered expectations nationally in the Eastern Conference under Joe Mazzulla.
The Celtics underwent significant change after trading Jrue Holiday, Georges Niang and Kristaps Porziņģis, while also likely losing Al Horford. Factoring in those moves, along with the Achilles injury to Jayson Tatum, the Celtics have the seventh-highest odds (plus-1600) to win the East.

The front office added Chris Boucher, Luka Garza, Josh Minott and Anfernee Simons via trade acquisitions or free agency signings to fill out the roster. They also selected Hugo González (28th), Amari Williams (46th) and Max Shulga (57th) in the 2025 NBA draft.
