Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.

As the Lakers approach their 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

After two years at Oregon State University, where he was named the Pac-10 Player of the Year as a sophomore, Lester Conner was the No. 14 pick in the 1982 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors. After playing for a total of six teams during his first 12 seasons in the league, the Lakers signed him to a 10-day contract midway through the 1994-95 campaign.

The 6-foot-4 guard played in two games for Los Angeles and totaled two points and one steal in five minutes of playing time. Those would be the final two games he would play in the NBA.

In 1998, Conner would become an assistant coach in the league, and he would serve in that capacity for the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks and Denver Nuggets.
