It’s summertime in the NBA, so it’s time to learn some history. The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the older franchises in the NBA. Their history dates to the 1949-50 season.

With that longevity, the team has had hundreds of players come through the City of Brotherly Love. Sixers Wire looks at the No. 18 which has been worn by eight of those players in the history of the franchise. This running series will go through all of the uniform numbers worn in franchise history.

Here is the list of the eight players who have worn No. 18 in Sixers history:

Darrall Imhoff

Imhoff averaged 11.3 points and 9.6 rebounds in two seasons with the Sixers. He was an All-Star in 1967 with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Ollie Johnson

Johnson played 66 games for the Sixers across two seasons, and he averaged 4 points and 1.2 rebounds.

Derek Smith

Smith wore two numbers while with the Sixers, 21 and 18, and he averaged 8.9 points and 2.3 rebounds while donning 18 in the 1989-90 season.

Maalik Wayns

Wayns played 21 games for the Sixers in the 2012-13 season, and he averaged 2.7 points and 1 assist before being waived and landing with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Marco Belinelli

Belinelli was a waiver-wire pickup in the 2017-18 season, and he averaged 13.6 points and 1.8 rebounds while shooting 38.5% from deep in 28 games. He is probably most remembered by Sixers fans for the fallaway shot he made in Game 3 of the 2018 Eastern Conference semifinals. It was initially thought to be a game-winning 3 as confetti rained down from the rafters at the Wells Fargo Center. It was then ruled a 2 and the game went to overtime, where the Boston Celtics took a 3-0 series lead.

Shake Milton

The No. 54 pick of the 2018 NBA draft, Milton spent five seasons with the Sixers and averaged 9.3 points, 2.7 assists, and 2.4 rebounds for Philadelphia. He was a steady presence for them off the bench while also taking on a starter’s role for the Sixers in the 2019-20 season. He averaged 9.4 points that season and then averaged 14.5 points while shooting 40% from deep in the bubble playoffs.

Chuma Okeke

Okeke was in Philadelphia on two separate 10-day deals in the 2024-25 season as he played seven games for the Sixers. The former lottery pick averaged 6.9 points and 6.1 rebounds for Philadelphia.

Colin Castleton

Another player signed to a 10-day deal in the 2024-25 season, Castleton averaged 6.0 points and 7.4 rebounds while playing in five games for the Sixers. He gave the Sixers a big body down low in a season where they needed as many bodies as possible to get through an injury-riddled season.
