Derrick White finally opened up about the trades the Boston Celtics made this offseason. Players are notoriously hard to pin down when it comes to talking about the decisions made by a ball club’s front office, and for good reason; when it goes sideways with the media, whether intentionally or not, can have a major impact on the season ahead.

And one would think that after the major moves made by the Celtics this offseason, trading Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis while letting Luke Kornet and Al Horford (presumably) walk in free agency among a number of impactful if smaller moves, would be a third rail of a topic for White. But speaking on a recent episode of his “White Noise” podcast with cohost Welsh, the University of Colorado – Boulder alum spoke about the trades that reshaped his roster drastically this summer.

Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about the new-look Cs and White’s role with them.
