The dust has hardly settled on Neemias Queta’s impressive run with the Portuguese National Team in FIBA EuroBasket play, but the Lisbon native is already thinking about the season ahead of him in the NBA with the Boston Celtics. In fact, Queta was thinking about his season to come with Boston even before he was done with EuroBasket.
The Lisbon native recently took some time to share his thoughts on the Celtics and his expanded role with the team in the season ahead in a recent interview with the folks at Eurohoops. “After this offseason – having that time off with the surgery and just being out there without playing basketball – I think I rested enough, and I’ve been working on my game ever since,” said Queta.
“Keeping on improving the little aspects I needed to put myself in the best position for next year to be a breakout year for me,” added the Utah State alum.
“I think I have got all the tools to go out there and compete with the best,” said Queta. “And after that, it’s just having the little details tuned up.”
“Being ready for 82 games – it’s a lot of games. Just knowing I’ll be playing most nights is going to be big for me.”
