Neemias Queta could change everything for the Boston Celtics if he pans out as a major-minutes player in the coming NBA 2025-26 regular season. The Portuguese center has mostly played garbage time with Boston until last season, and even considering the fact that Queta started getting his first real minutes boost in 2024-25 with the Celtics, he will see his role perhaps more than double with the team in the campaign ahead.
Whether he ends up starting or coming off the bench as he, Luka Garza, Xavier Tillman Sr., Amari Williams, and Chris Boucher jockey for playing time in the Celtics frontcourt rotation, Queta will have a critical role with Boston next season. If he makes the most of it, he could very well retain a major role in a season Boston is gunning for another title.
The folks behind the “NESN” YouTube channel put together a clip from their “Hold My Banner” show, featuring hosts George Balekji and Ountae Campbell getting into how important Queta blossoming as a big man could be for the Celtics. Check it out below!
