Following the addition of Jimmy Butler at the NBA trade deadline, one of the more entertaining subplots from the 2024-25 edition of the Golden State Warriors was his back-and-forth with sharpshooter Buddy Hield. The veteran duo were often joking around with each other and calling the other out in different postgame conferences.

Fast forward to the summer, and the pair are sharing the court together for an offseason workout. Butler and Hield linked up recently and went through some different drills. Both Butler and Hield were working on their long-distance jumpers.

After their first campaigns with the Warriors. Butler and Hield are slated to be significant pieces in Steve Kerr’s rotation for the 2025-26 season.

Hield played all 82 games for the Warriors last season, averaging 11.1 points on 41.7% shooting from the field and 37% from deep to go along with 3.2 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. Hield broke out in the postseason with a memorable performance against the Houston Rockets. Hield tallied 33 points with nine made 3-pointers to lead the Warriors past the Rockets in a win-or-go-home situation.

The Warriors have been busy with offseason workouts this summer. Hield and Butler are the latest to workout together. Butler has also worked out with Draymond Green, while Green recently worked out with Moses Moody.
