Are the Boston Celtics setting the table for star forward Jayson Tatum to return to a team ready to contend when he has healed up from his torn Achilles tendon? The St. Louis native has been out of action since going down injured vs. the New York Knicks in the 2025 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals, and won’t likely return playing like his usual self before the start of the 2026-27 NBA season.
But that does not mean that the Celtics’ front office can’t make the moves they will need to in order to field a roster capable of contending for titles once he is able to take the court again. The hosts of the CLNS Media “First to the Floor” podcast, Jake Issenberg, Ben Vallis, and Wayne Spooney, took some time on a recent episode of their show to talk it over.
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about how the Celtics may look when Taco Jay is ready to play at a high level again.
