SAN ANTONIO – Changes are coming to downtown as Project Marvel begins to take hold; but questions still remain surrounding the projects funding.
On Tuesday, Jan. 7, Bexar County Commissioners will consider allowing the San Antonio Spurs to use 100% of the venue tax capacity to fund building a new arena.
The Spurs seek a citizen vote in May on a project worth over one billion dollars. No action is expected to be taken tomorrow.
Commissioners are hosting two town halls to discuss what to do with the Frost Bank Center if the Spurs leave.
Anyone is invited to attend. The first is on Saturday, Jan. 25, and the second is on Feb. 1.
Both are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Freeman Coliseum.
