It appears that Jordan Poole and Draymond Green aren’t patching things up soon. Their infamous beef, which started after Green lost his temper and punched Poole during practice, has not quelled one bite. Multiple videos had popped up about the 2022 incident, and it was ugly. Speculations on what had been said between the two in that preseason practice had baffled fans for years.
Three years have passed, and the animosity between the two has continued. Poole has played for the Washington Wizards and joined the New Orleans Pelicans in July since then, while Green remains with the Warriors. Much of the Warriors’ brass seemingly sided with Green when the incident happened. After the altercation, coach Steve Kerr reportedly told Poole to stand up and be a man.
After some pettiness on both sides, Jordan Poole recently reminded everyone that he was still not over it, and his hatred for his former teammate hasn’t gone down one bit. During a clip of Draymond Green struggling in a pick-up game, Poole dropped a like on a post from The Dunk Central on X.
Obviously, these two have avoided each other after their fight. While Green has indirectly accepted the blame, Poole hasn’t moved on from what happened. The 26-year-old was widely seen as a building block for the Warriors back then.

In 2023, the Warriors decided to trade Jordan Poole to the Wizards, perhaps to appease Green. While Poole never suffered any injuries after the punch, he has struggled to recapture the magic he had on the court during his stint in Washington. He often doubted his shots, resulting in subpar field percentages.
Jordan Poole was traded again in 2025. He is now a member of the New Orleans Pelicans after a complicated three-team trade that involved the Pelicans, Wizards, and the Rockets. Entering his seventh year in the league, can he finally take the next leap in his game? The Pelicans hope that Poole can ball out for them this season.
