Cavaliers forward and Revere High School graduate Larry Nance Jr. is using his love of Swensons to give back to the community with a creative fundraiser.
Nance is scheduled to moonlight as a Swensons server from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 13, at the West Akron Swensons location at 40 S. Hawkins Ave. The event will benefit Akron Public Schools.
“Akron shaped who I am, and I can’t wait to team up with Swensons — a brand every Akronite knows and loves — to support our students,” Nance, the eldest son of Cavs legend Larry Nance Sr., said in a news release distributed by the Cavaliers. “I’ll be serving up burgs and making sure our schools get the boost they deserve.”
