The Colorado State men’s basketball team has landed a spot in one of the most high-profile college tournaments.

The Rams have been selected as one of eight teams to participate in the 2026 Maui Invitational, which will take place at Lahaina Civic Center on Nov. 23-25, 2026.

The Maui Invitational is always one of the annual highlights of the early-season college basketball schedule and packed with high-profile teams.

The 2026 field includes CSU, Arizona, BYU, Clemson, Ole Miss, Providence, VCU and Washington. Arizona, BYU and Ole Miss were all Sweet 16 teams in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. CSU made the second round and was a play away from the Sweet 16.

It’s CSU’s inaugural appearance in the Maui Invitational.

“Competing in the Maui Invitational is a great experience for our program,” CSU coach Ali Farokhmanesh said in a news release. “The Maui Invitational’s long history and tradition are something any kid dreams of being a part of. I am excited for us to compete against a great field and continue to grow the brand of CSU and CSU men’s basketball.”
