Landry Shamet is returning to the Garden.

The Knicks have filled their one vacant veteran spot by agreeing to re-sign the guard to a one-year deal, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Thursday.

Ben Simmons had been a target for the Knicks, but he reportedly was not interested, leading to Shamet’s return.

Shamet, 28, joined the Knicks last season and appeared in 50 regular-season games, averaging 5.7 points per game.

He ended up playing important minutes in the playoffs, particularly in the conference final loss to the Pacers, providing a defensive boost as Tom Thibodeau expanded his rotation.

Shamet has been working out in New York with the hope of rejoining the Knicks.

He recently worked as an unpaid photographer for the USTA at the U.S. Open.
