Could Jaylen Brown end up leaving the Boston Celtics in free agency to join the Atlanta Hawks someday? The Georgia native recently took some time in this offseason to visit his home state and former schools, making an appearance on a local Atlanta radio show in the process of his return to his natal stomping grounds.
To be clear, there is nothing unusual in any of the above, but it is what Brown said near the end of that radio show appearance that has fans of the Celtics taking note of his words and perhaps worrying a bit. When asked if he ever might be up for playing with his hometown ball club (in this case, the Atlanta Hawks), the Cal alum was non-committal, but not in a way that would satisfy most Boston fans hoping he stays with the team for his entire NBA career: ‘you never know.’
