Any sneaker fanatic who wanted to watch Oklahoma’s college football domination over Temple likely needed to do so on their phone screen and battle a sun glare. With an exclusive supply of SHAI 001 ‘Butter’ colorways, Grinmore was fully prepared for a busy crowd
The OKC clothing store gave Oklahoma City Thunder fans a chance to grab a pair of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Converse signature shoe. The ‘Butter’ colorways were quickly sold out online on Sept. 4. Saturday’s event was the first chance local fans could purchase the shoe in person.

There were hundreds of folks who lined up at Grinmore. All pairs were sold. The earliest campers arrived on Friday morning, which meant a 24-hour stay. An NBA 2K26 tournament also took place with a free pair on the line. Gilgeous-Alexander donned this year’s video game cover.
There were also giveaways for fans who traveled to the OKC store. Music and a live DJ were also there to celebrate the shoe being made available in the city that Gilgeous-Alexander ascended into one of the NBA’s best players.
For those who couldn’t make it, expect there to be more SHAI 001 ‘Butter’ colorways on their way to OKC for next weekend. Gilgeous-Alexander continues to enjoy a summer of celebration after he captured an MVP, NBA Finals MVP and a championship last season.
