NBA All-Star and Pacers’ point guard Tyrese Haliburton told Pat McAfee that WWE legend Triple H has kept up with “the Haliban” the most after his Achilles tendon injury suffered during Game 7 of the 2025 NBA finals.

“After I got hurt, H has probably checked on me more than anybody else, texting me, which is really cool. I have to like announce it [to my friends], ‘Triple H texted me.'”

Haliburton is a major WWE fan who frequently appears in the audience at WWE shows and even started an on-screen rivalry with the New York Knick’s Jalen Brunson.
Haliburton Provides Injury Update
While on the show, Haliburton also provided an update on his recovery progress.
“I’m good. I’m on two shoes now, so we’re out of the boot, which is nice. I feel like I do a million calf raises a day, but we’re getting there, bro,” Halliburton told McAfee.
The NBA regular season resumes on Tuesday, October 21, with reigning NBA champions the Oklahoma City Thunder hosting the Houston Rockets, while Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors will travel south to face LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Unfortunately for Halliburton, the Pacers have confirmed he will miss the entire 2025-26 season.

While NBA fans won’t see Halliburton on the basketball court, WWE fans will likely continue to see him in wrestling crowds.
Haliburton plans to be in attendance at WWE’s upcoming Premium Live Event (PLE) WrestlePalooza, which will emanate next Saturday, September 20 from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The event will mark the official launch of WWE’s partnership with ESPN, as ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer streaming service becomes the exclusive domestic home of all WWE PLEs.
