For the third straight week, Ohio State held the No. 1 spot in the AP Poll. Penn State and LSU stayed at No. 2 and No. 3 after Week 3 wins. Miami defeated South Florida 49-12 to move up one spot to No. 4, while Georgia’s 44-41 overtime win at Tennessee put the Bulldogs back in the top five.

Georgia Tech has been ranked in the AP Poll only once in the last 10 years, when it reached No. 23 in Week 2 of 2024. After a 24-21 win over Clemson, the Yellow Jackets earned their highest ranking—No. 18—since Week 2 of 2015, when they were No. 14. The loss ended Clemson’s 21-week streak in the Top 25.

Notre Dame dropped out of the top 10 to No. 24 after a 41-40 loss to Texas A&M. The Fighting Irish opened 0-2 for the first time since 2011. The Aggies moved into the top 10 with the victory.
