As the Philadelphia 76ers head into the 2025-26 season, the hope is that Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey will be healthy enough to guide them deep into the playoffs. There is a ton of talent on this roster and the Sixers will be counting on their Big 3 to get the job done in the East.
With that being said, one has to wonder if there are any holes on this roster. Every roster has some type of issue heading into a new season. It happens all the time. However, what is it for the Sixers? They have a talented roster, but what is something that could potentially hold them back?

ESPN believes it’s a lack of a power forward on the roster:
Although Joel Embiid and Paul George’s health is a bigger issue, Philadelphia has no clear starter in between the 6-foot-8 George and 7-foot Embiid in height. The Sixers will most likely start small with George as their biggest non-center, but they get dangerously small with George out of the lineup.
The Sixers will certainly have to figure out the size problem. At this stage, George is likely going to start at power forward as Philadelphia builds a faster lineup around Maxey, Jared McCain, VJ Edgecombe, and likely Quentin Grimes as it heads into the new season. Philadelphia will be looking to others to step in and provide some size whether it’s defensively or on the glass.
