Josh Hart is standing firm for his team over Paul Pierce’s comments. Recently, the former Celtics legend made some strong statements that the team lost to the Knicks in last year’s playoffs because they blew the series and demeaned the New York Knicks’ potential. That did not sit well with Hart, and he came up with an even stronger reply.

The Knicks beat the Celtics in six games in the Eastern Conference Semifinals with considerable talent, Karl Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson. While Jayson Tatum’s injury affected the Celtics’ performance, the Knicks were already playing at a high level before that. As a true Celtics fan, Pierce did not hesitate to express his opinion on their unexpected exit.

In response, Josh Hart fired back at X, saying, “NY is running through Boston.” This indicates Hart’s sarcastic humour, which stems from his love for his franchise. The series proved that the Knicks fought hard and earned their wins; discrediting that effort seems unfair.

With a new season approaching and under a new coach’s system, the Knicks are building a strong foundation with a new direction. Insiders also believed the franchise has a strong chance to make a title next season and must stand tall on the expectations.

Landry Shamet is back with the Knicks after signing a one-year, non-guaranteed deal. He stayed in New York during this offseason, training and waiting for another season with the team.

Josh Hart showed support right away on social media and celebrated Shamets’ return,  posting, “YEA LAN!” The two entered the league around the same time and have mutual respect.

Shamet played 50 games last season and averaged 5.7 points, shooting 46% from the field and 40% from three. He also played 11 playoff games and has a golden chance to prove his ability in a year with the Knicks’ depth.
