After making a few offseason additions, the Miami Heat enter the 2025-26 campaign aiming to improve upon their 37-45 record and first-round playoff exit from last season.

The Heat acquired Simone Fontecchio from the Detroit Pistons in the trade involving Duncan Robinson and Norman Powell from the LA Clippers. The front office also re-signed Davion Mitchell to a two-year contract and drafted Kasparas Jakučionis with the 20th pick.

Behind their recent moves, the Heat begin the season with the 10th-best odds (plus-3500) to win the Eastern Conference, according to the BetMGM Sportsbook. They are projected nationally to be in the hunt for a spot in the play-in tournament.

With the team opening training camp on Sept. 30, Rookie Wire examined the Heat’s depth chart and offered an early projection of the starters and backups entering the season.
