The Congolese basketball centre, Bismack Biyombo, has agreed to return to the San Antonio Spurs in a one-year deal. This is a huge deal for the franchise, as Biyombo could compensate Victor Wembenyama after he was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis. The team needs someone worthy and reliable, and Bismack Biyombo is the person they could put their high hopes on. Although this offseason, the San Antonio Spurs signed Boston Celtics center, Luka Kornet, to their team, however, this was done only to back up Victor Wembenyama. But Bismack Biyombo is the real deal, it seems, because with his fantastic stats, the team needs a player like him. This move was made by the San Antonio Spurs earlier on Monday morning.

San Antonio Spurs’ dominant center, Bismack Biyombo, has been playing in the league for the past 14 years. Having played 867 career regular-season games, he has averaged 5.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 0.8 blocks in 18.9 minutes per game, shooting 58.8% from the field. The 6-foot-8 Spurs center has played for many NBA teams, such as the Oklahoma City Thunder, Memphis Grizzlies, Phoenix Suns, and Charlotte Hornets, for the past five years. This Monday, the deal added another year to his NBA career, playing for the San Antonio Spurs. The franchise now has its ultimate backup, Kornet, along with Bismack Biyombo, and who knows, together, they could even win the season finals. As fans await Wembenyama’s performance in the upcoming season, they also want to watch Kornet and Biyombo playing beside Victor Wembenyama.
