The Houston Rockets are officially set for the 2025 NBA Draft, after the NBA Draft Lottery on Monday night.
The Rockets landed the No. 10 overall pick, which was originally owned by the Phoenix Suns. The Rockets own the pick after a trade with the Brooklyn Nets, who had the rights to them. The Rockets own the Suns first round picks for 2025, 2027, and 2029.
There was just a 3.8 percent chance the Rockets could land the top pick, and ended up where expected. There was some drama, however.
The Dallas Mavericks, who entered the night with a 1.8 percent chance to win the No. 1 overall pick, did just that. It is the first time in Mavs franchise history they hold the No. 1 overall pick.
The NBA Draft begins June 25th.
