TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Washburn men’s basketball elevated student assistant Jordan Vincent to a full-time assistant coach for the upcoming season.
Vincent played in 18 games for the Washburn men’s basketball team under Brett Ballard.
“This is a great addition to our basketball staff, and I’m excited to have a former player who understands and embraces the tradition and culture of Washburn basketball,” Washburn head coach Brett Ballard said in a press release.
Before Washburn, Vincent played at Sunrise Christian Academy outside of Wichita.
While a senior at Eisenhower High School, he earned All-League and All-State honors, averaging 24 points per game. Vincent also earned nominations for Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year and McDonald’s All-American accolades.
