After a busy offseason, the Milwaukee Bucks enter the 2025-26 campaign with several new players in the mix in their second full season under head coach Doc Rivers.
The organization moved on from Damian Lillard after opting to waive him and stretch his remaining $113 million, resulting in a cap hit of approximately $22.3 million through 2030. Lillard is expected to miss the upcoming season after sustaining a torn Achilles tendon in May.
The move allowed the front office to sign free agent Myles Turner to a four-year, $107 million contract. The team also added Cole Anthony and Gary Harris, while re-signing several other players, including Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Porter Jr. and Bobby Portis.
Currently boasting the eighth-highest odds (plus-1800) in the Eastern Conference, the Bucks are not projected nationally to be among the favorites to advance to the NBA Finals. The group faces several lineup and depth questions behind Giannis Antetokounmpo.
With the team opening training camp on Sept. 30, Rookie Wire examined the Bucks’ depth chart and offered an early projection of the starters and backups entering the season.
