Eight of the players to make sports publication Bleacher Report’s recent list of the Top 100 NBA Players Ever spent time wearing the Silver and Black.
Indeed, every member of the San Antonio Spurs’ five-time champion “Big Three,” including Tim Duncan at No. 7, Manu Ginobili at No. 75 and No. 86 Parker made the list.
Bleacher Report compiled the rankings by first creating a list of what its writers considered the NBA’s 500 best players, then whittling it down from there.
“It’s an impossible task, especially when confronted with the reality of comparing players from different eras,” the publication wrote. “Stats help, but calculators won’t ever figure all this out.”
David Robinson, who spent his entire career with San Antonio and won two NBA titles, came in at No. 19 on the list. He had the second-highest rating among former Spurs, behind Duncan.
“San Antonio grew and shifted around Duncan over the years,” Bleacher Report wrote. “From a plodding, double-big look including David Robinson, the Spurs morphed into early adopters of the three-point revolution. Duncan was in the middle of it, hitting bank shots and driving championship runs as the support cast evolved.”
Legendary Spur George “Ice Man” Gervin, who spent all but one season with the team, landed at No. 42. Other players who made pit stops in San Antonio during their careers include Pau Gasol (No. 62), Dennis Rodman (No. 67) and Artis Gilmore (No. 100).
Bleacher Report named Michael Jordan as the greatest NBA player of all time, followed by Lebron James at No. 2 and Kareem Abdul-Jabar at No. 3.
With San Antonio’s current roster consisting of generational talent Victor Wembanyama, 2025 Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle and strong scoring guard De’Aaron Fox, it’s possible more Spurs could bust onto the list in the future.
