Elicha Navas Reaches Doubles Semifinals of the ITF 15K Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team continued play at the ITF 15K Fayetteville as Gabriel Elicha Navas advanced to the semifinals of the doubles bracket.

The Razorbacks opened the fourth day of competition with three players taking the court in the singles quarterfinals, while Jakub Vrba competed in the singles second round.

Vrba started well in his singles match before eventually falling to Albert Pedrico Kravtsov, 6-4, 6-7 (5), 0-6.

In doubles action, Blu Baker and Elicha Navas secured a 4-6, 6-1, 10-8 victory on Court 2 to send them to the next round. Brendan Boland and Marino Jakic lost to James Hopper and Braden Shick, 0-6, 4-6 to end their run.

There will only be one Hog in action Friday, as Elicha Navas and Baker take on Hopper and Shick starting at 10:00 AM on Court 1.
