After two consecutive trips to the Western Conference finals, the Minnesota Timberwolves enter the 2025-26 season aiming to advance to the NBA Finals for the first time.
The group begins with a mostly unchanged roster, adding Bones Hyland and Johnny Juzang after losing Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Luka Garza. They also re-signed Joe Ingles, Julius Randle and Naz Reid, and drafted Joan Beringer (17th) and Rocco Zikarsky (45th).

Banking on added improvement and development within the roster, the Timberwolves have the ninth-highest odds (plus-2000) to win the title. The team will be seeking larger contributions from the likes of second-year guards Rob Dillingham and Terrence Shannon Jr.
With the team opening training camp on Sept. 30, Rookie Wire examined the Timberwolves’ depth chart and offered an early projection of the starters and backups entering the season.
