One of the best aspects of the Denver sports scene is how close the four major teams are with each other. The Nuggets, Broncos, Avalanche, and Rockies all constantly support each other, as players from one team will show up to a different team’s on their night off and vice versa.

Nuggets Nation and Broncos Country saw a confusing picture of Nuggets head coach David Adelman come across the timeline on Thursday night, one that they likely didn’t expect to see leading up to the Buffalo Bills hosting the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football.

The comments were filled with a bunch of fans from the Mile High City who were all expressing their confusion. Seeing their head coach decked out in red and blue Bills gear was certainly not on the bingo card on Thursday.

Adelman grew up in Oregon and went to college in at Southern New Hampshire. It would make sense if he developed his Bills fandom during his college days, even though the Patriots and Foxborough are much closer to that campus than Buffalo. The majority of the coaching jobs he’s had have been west of the Mississippi as well, besides his short stint with the Orlando Magic, which is also far away from Bills territory.

This is much different than what Nuggets and Broncos fans are used to seeing, like when Peyton Manning makes his way to Ball Arena or when Aaron Gordon and Peyton Watson make their way to Empower Field at Mile High.

There was a select group of Nuggets and Bills fans who seemed to enjoy Adelman in Bills gear. For the rest, they’re curious as to what the reasoning behind his tie to the Bills is.
