The Nets say they have signed G Yuri Collins. Collins, 24, went undrafted in 2023 and has spent his career with the Warriors. Last season for the Santa Cruz Warriors, Golden State’s G League affiliate, Collins averaged 13.7 PPG and 10.0 APG on 41.4/26.7/78.0 shooting splits.

The Brooklyn Nets is less than one week away from the season beginning with Media Day and training camp to kick off the 2025-26 season. Heading into training camp, Brooklyn is trying to keep the roster under control while bringing in as much talent as possible while also using various ways to get close to the salary floor before the season tips off.

The Nets announced on Friday that they signed guard Yuri Collins ahead of training camp that begins on Wednesday as Brooklyn prepares for what could be a tough season. Collins, 24, went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft and since then, he has spent his time as part of the Golden State Warriors organization, mostly with their G League afiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors.

Collins got his first taste of NBA action during the 2024-25 season when he played in two games for Golden State and averaged 1.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 33.3% from the field. However, Collins spent most of his time in the G League for Santa Cruz, averaging 13.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 10.0 assists per game while shooting 41.4% from the floor and 26.7% from deep.

According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, the Nets signed Collins to a partially-guaranteed standard NBA contract, meaning that he will earn $85,3000 as a result of the deal. Scotto went on to note that “he’s expected to be waived, and that money will count against the cap. Similar deal to D’Andre Davis and David Muoka, who were waived,” showing that Brooklyn isn’t wasting time with getting salary cap compliant.

So far, it looks like the Nets have figured out who they want to bring to training camp, even though the training camp deals for Grant Nelson, Ricky Council IV, and Fanbo Zeng have not been officially announced. Either way, Brooklyn has a few more days to tinker with the roster before training camp and the preseason show what the team is made of heading into the regular season.
