Former Boston Celtics big man Luke Kornet decamping to the San Antonio Spurs has been hailed one of the NBA’s most underrated moves by the Athletic NBA analyst John Hollinger in a recent article. And the hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, had plenty to say about that assessment in the latest episode of their podcast.
Fans of the Celtics are by no means happy about losing the Vanderbilt alum to the Spurs in free agency, but also know that the Celtics could not afford to bring him back at the rate San Antonio offered him and meet their goals to retool the roster for their next crack at contending for a title. Sam and Jack get into why the Spurs did indeed strike gold with the signing of the Boston big alum.
