According to the viral news, Murray’s young fan recently sent a direct message to him on Instagram, asking if he needed help cutting his lawn. Despite being a big NBA star, Murray responded with a heartfelt gesture towards the fan.
“The guy on the left is NBA player DeJounte Murray, and one day he receives a random Instagram message from the young man on the right. The young man asks him, do you need your grass cut? DeJounte says no, but I’ll send you 500 bucks if you send me proof that you’re really out here cutting grass. So the young man starts sending him pictures and videos of him cutting grass and out here doing his thing,” via All The Smoke.
The fan explained to Murray that he was working hard to start his lawn-cutting business. They exchanged a few words, and Murray asked, “What’s your Zelle?” The fan replied that he didn’t have one but would create one soon. Later, the fan gave him a number to receive the money. Murray then sent him $600 to help kickstart his lawn care business. Murray is an amazing person off the court. In a video from 2019, he surprised his brother with a hug gift for his graduation.
