It was another rough season last year for the Utah Jazz as they finished the season with an abysmal 17-65 record, which was the worst in the NBA.
Of course, the Jazz have been stuck in a rebuild over the past handful of seasons which has allowed them to create a solid young core led by Lauri Markkanen, Keyonte George and Walker Kessler.

Utah also selected Ace Bailey in the 2025 draft to add another young player with a ton of potential to their roster as they try to end their rebuild.
Despite this, the Jazz are likely set for another disappointing season this year and they could elect to make some major moves ahead of the deadline to add more young talent to their roster.
If that is the case, these three players could be potential trade targets for them.

While the Detroit Pistons have shown no interest in trading Ron Holland II, especially after he showed out in the 2025 Summer League, the Jazz could still show interest in him.

Of course, for the Jazz to acquire the young forward it would likely come from them moving one of their key players such as Markkanen, who the Pistons may not be interested in.
If they are, landing Holland II would give the Jazz another young player with a ton of potential to help them out in their rebuild.

Another player the Jazz could target this season is Anfernee Simons to upgrade their backcourt.
Of course, the Boston Celtics are open to moving Simons this season after acquiring him earlier this summer from the Portland Trail Blazers and the Jazz could show interest in him.

Utah could also target Devin Carter of the Sacramento Kings to upgrade their backcourt depth while also adding another young player with potential.
Of course, the young guard struggled at times during his rookie season, especially on the offensive end, though he proved to be a great defender.

Carter still has a bit of developing to do, especially on his shooting, though the Jazz could be willing to acquire him to continue to develop him into a key player for them.
While the Jazz could target these three players, they could also look elsewhere to add more young talent to their roster, which could be the case if they decide to move some of their top players this season.
