What is Tyler Herro’s injury?

The Miami Herald added more context to Herro’s injury. According to the outlet, the issue is a foot and ankle impingement, which is when soft tissue becomes pinched around a joint.

Per Stanford Health Care, the condition can be rather painful and can be caused by repeated strain and overuse.

Herro, 25, wanted to avoid surgery, per the Herald, and received platelet-rich plasma injections as well as cortisone injections, though the discomfort never subsided.
