The Brooklyn Nets are two days away from the beginning of training camp ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season as the Nets are hoping that they can have a successful campaign. Brooklyn has been making some interesting moves as they try to meet their salary cap obligations prior to the regular season beginning, but they have now finalized their roster for camp.
On Monday, the Nets announced their 21-player roster for training camp that begins on Wednesday following Media Day on Tuesday ahead of what could be a tough season for the franchise. Brooklyn noted that they completed their 21-player roster by signing forward Fanbo Zeng. NetsDaily reported on Sunday that the Nets were expected to sign Zeng to an Exhibit 10 deal and Brian Lewis of the New York Post confirmed that move on Monday.

Training camp for Brooklyn will be held at the Nets’ practice facility from Wednesday, Sep. 24 to Friday, Oct. 3 before the team tips off their preseason slate with a matchup against Hapoel ‘Bank Yahav’ Jerusalem at Barclays Center on Saturday, Oct. 4. It’s important to note that Brooklyn still has one Two-Way spot left to fill and the Nets still have to cut down the roster to 18 players before the regular season begins.
Zeng, 22, has spent the past three seasons playing for the Beijing Shougang Ducks of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) after spending the 2021-22 season playing for the G League Ignite. Zeng had the best performance of his international career during the 2024-25 campaign when he averaged 14.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 53.0% from the field and 40.9% from three-point land.
Nets training camp will be interesting to follow over the next couple of weeks as Brooklyn will have a new point guard rotation that will most likely be led by Egor Demin and former Atlanta Hawks guard Kobe Bufkin. Demin, the eighth overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and Bufkin, whom Brooklyn acquired in a trade recently, will be competing for the starting point guard job with many other storylines to follow.
